Sales Manager – Germany

We are working with one of the leaders within the smart metering arena. Not only do they manufacturer smart meters, but they provide the whole turn key solution for their customers. They are also entering the IoT sector with their solutions for IIoT and IoT within transmission and distribution.

Due to growth and upcoming tenders, they are seeking a regional sales manager for a permanent opportunity in Germany.

As the successful candidate you will be forging key relationships with the major utility providers in Germany and selling our clients portfolio offering. The role will be home based but with expected travel across Germany and company HQ when required.

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving sales targets and plans.
  • Ensuring the profitability of the sales portfolio in foreign markets.
  • Responsible for providing direction and training for business partners and colleagues.
  • Keeping up-to-date with current legislation and the latest developments and trends within the area of responsibility and for making proposals to implement new methods of work.
  • Developing and creating full sales cycles with key market clients
  • Forging new and maintain existing commercial relationships
  • Identifying new opportunities for smart metering and IoT solutions

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Customer-oriented mindset
  • String negotiations skills
  • Prior experience working with utilities
  • Experience within IoT and smart metering is essential
  • Flexible to travel across Germany
  • Degree educated, ideally with an engineering background, or similar
  • Must have “hunter sales” mentality
  • Must be fluent in German and English
