Commercial Manager

 

The Plant Solutions and Modules Commercial Manager is responsible to prepare proposals, with broad and complex scope involved, for all Regions. He/she may be required to negotiate the contract and is responsible for the compliance with the contract commitments and commercial risk assessment. He/she is required to contribute to the development of business plans related to this kind of solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develops proposals for Plants (or part of them) and/or Modules for any of the Oil & Gas segments. Proposals may also be developed for Industrial applications and for New Energy Solutions (e.g. CCUS). He/she has to make sure to include in the proposal all the required tender documentation, support the competitive pricing analysis, select the solution that maximize the shareholders’ value, and may negotiate with the customers;
  • The Plants and Modules may or not include TPS core products (gas and steam turbines, compressors ), but their management requires he/she a good technical understanding and knowledge of the environment where those will be used to identify the technical/commercial solution that may position TPS to win and has the best balance between technical and commercial risks;
  • Manages complex sales processes requiring involvement of many stakeholders both at the customer side and internally. Technical, economical, logistical, and financial aspects are involved in creating proposal. The result of the relevant analyses may be that the creation of a partnership with another company (consortium, joint venture) is recommended to build a more competitive proposal;
  • Participates to the partners’ due diligence, selection and parties contract framework;
  • Considers and evaluates the possibility to extend the TPS involvement in the specific project to its operation and, in case, proposes solutions like BOO and BOOT;
  • Coordinates the opportunities since early stage development with analysis and solutions identification that position TPS technology once the project is sanctioned;
  • Cooperates with any TPS function (Application Engineering, Sourcing, Finance and others) to answer customer requests and assess their implications to the proposal competitive position;
  • Communicates customer needs and feedback back to the relevant segments as market knowledge that may help them in strategic studies and assessments;

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college;
  • 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas or industrial applications of New Energy Solutions;
  • At least 5 additional years of experience in Commercial, Sales or Project Management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems, lead programs/projects;
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs;
  • Project management skills and entrepreneurial mindset.
